Are the Fortnite Servers Down? Chapter 6 Season 2 Maintenance schedule

Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 is almost here and Epic Games is preparing to take down its servers to release the new update. Starting from a new battle pass to a plethora of weapons and challenges, the new season will bring a lot of new features for you to explore.
However, before the season launches, the servers will be disabled for a considerable amount of time while Epic Games prepares the new servers. So, here’s everything you need to know about the server downtime and maintenance schedule for Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2.
Fortnite servers are scheduled to be taken offline at a predestined time by the developers. Epic Games will take the servers offline at 2 AM ET / 11 PM PT (February 20).

During this time, you won’t be able to access any of the online services in the game, nor will you be able to log into the game at all.
Considering that this is a new update, it’s unclear when the servers will come back up. It’s expected that these servers will remain offline for atleast 3-4 hours to ensure that they can seamlessly push all files for you to download them easily.
While it’s not completely unheard of, there’s a low chance that Epic Games might increase the downtime for Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2, should they feel the need to do so. In such a case, Epic Games will mention the extension on their official social media handles, so keep an eye out for more updated information.
It’s also worth reiterating that while these servers are down, you will not be able to access any of the online features that the game offers on a regular basis. Even once the update has completed and the servers are live, you may not be able to log into the game because of a queue.
This isn’t an error but a regular feature that the developers have implemented to prevent the servers from being overloaded with the excess influx of traffic. In case you encounter this error, the easiest way to solve this issue is by waiting out till the queue subsides.
While this might cause you to wait for an additional hour or two, this is the easiest way to ensure a seamless experience for yourself.
